Mosslands

‘There is a place in the woods that is sacred to me, a secret spot amongst the trees. I return here in my mind, over and over again. I lie back and the forest floor embraces me from all directions; a gentle hug from the mosslands below. Far from my mossy oasis on the West Coast of Canada, I’m craving the soothing touch of nature. I never thought of myself as a child of the woods, but here I was conjuring up mosslands in Barcelona. If you haven’t rolled around in a bed of moss, or nuzzled your face into its damp embrace, then you are missing out on one of life's greatest wonders. The moss wall beckons you to touch it—to caress it with your hands/arms/face.’
